Congratulating CPES graduate - Yingyi Yan


Yingyi Yan completed his Ph.D. program in January 2013. His defense presentation and dissertation, "Equivalent Circuit Model for Current Mode Controls and Its Extensions," are available to CPES members via password access.

Yingyi received his B.S. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2007, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, in 2010 and 2013, respectively, all in electrical engineering.

He joined the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES) in 2008 and focused his research on modeling of PWM converter, and advanced analog and digital control techniques in VR and Point-of-load converter applications. Upon graduation, Yingyi has joined Linear Technology in Milpitas, California, as an application engineer.

Other than power electronics, he likes literature and tourism.
