CPES at 2011 ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit


CPES is proud to be a selected participant in the prestigious Technology Showcase at the 2nd Annual ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit, held in the Gaylord Convention Center, Washington, D.C., February 28 – March 2, 2011. 

Co-hosted by the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) and the Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries Organization (CTSI), the event gathered “key players in the nation’s energy innovation community to spur the networks that will bring about the next Industrial Revolution in clean energy technologies.”

CPES joined nearly 2,000 national leaders gathering to drive long-term American competitiveness in the energy sector. More than 200 groundbreaking technologies from ARPA-E awardees, corporations, National Labs and Department of Energy R&D programs were showcased at this event.

The 2nd Annual Energy Innovation Summit also featured high-profile speakers, including U.S. Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, ARPA-E Director, Arun Majumdar, U.S. Navy Secretary, Raymond Mabus, former California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bank of America Chairman, Charles Holliday. 

The annual summit serves as a forum for members of the scientific and research communities, investors, technology entrepreneurs, corporations with an interest in clean energy technologies, policymakers and government officials to share ideas, collaborate, and identify key technology opportunities and challenges.
