CPES congratulates Prof. Dushan Boroyevich – IEEE Power Electronics Society President Elect

Congratulations to CPES Co-Director, Dushan Boroyevich, who has been elected to be IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) President Elect!  He will be serving as PELS President in 2011 and 2012.  Prior to his election as President Elect, Dushan has served IEEE PELS as elected AdCom Member-at-large, Distinguished Lecturer, and Membership Chair.

Dushan is a Fellow of IEEE.  He is a 2007 recipient of the IEEE William E. Newell Power Electronics Technical Field Award for "advancement of control, modeling, and design of switching power converters."  He is a recipient of the Award for Outstanding Achievements and Service to Profession by the European Power Electronics and Motion Control Council, and has received several awards for excellence in research and teaching at Virginia Tech.
