CPES Presentation on “Integrated Power Conversion Systems” at 2009 Vestas Power Program Symposium


CPES Co-Director, Prof. Dushan Boroyevich, was invited to make a special presentation on “Integrated Power Conversion Systems” at the Vestas Power Program (VPP) 2nd Annual Symposium on Grid Integration of Wind Energy. The one-day symposium was held in Terrassaa-Barcelona, Spain, September 7, 2009.

The research goal of VPP is to push the wind power technology to even higher levels of reliability and functionality to enable higher renewable power generation. Prof. Boroyevich serves on the VPP Advisory Board, along with academicians from Brazil, Chile, Germany, Poland, and the U.S.

VPP is led by the Department of Energy Technology at Aalborg University in Denmark, in collaborative partnership with Vestas Wind Systems, a wind turbine producer in Denmark, and the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia in Spain.
