Lite-On Technology has joined CPES as Principal Plus and PMC member
CPES welcomes Lite-On Technology to the CPES industrial consortium and Power Management Consortium (PMC)!
With the addition of Lite-On, CPES PMC now consists of 15 member firms, including Analog Devices, Crane Aerospace, Delta Electronics, Hipro Electronics, Infineon Technologies, International Rectifier, Intersil Corporation, Linear Technology, Lite-On Technology, Murata Power Solutions (formerly C&D Technologies), National Semiconductor, NXP Semiconductors, Primarion, Renesas Technology and Texas Instruments. These companies are working synergistically with CPES on developing pre-competitive technologies in the areas of power management for distributed power system architectures, for applications such as microprocessors, laptops, desktops, servers, and telecom equipment, and focusing on addressing the ongoing challenges of power delivery and power management, while aiming to improve cost effectiveness and achieve higher power density and energy efficiency.
Lite-On is a Taiwan-based company founded in 1975. The company began its history by producing LED (Light-Emitting Diodes). In 1983, Lite-On had its IPO and was the first technology company to be listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange. Today, Lite-On is actively penetrating into the realms of computer, digital home products, consumer electronics, communication products, key components and sub-systems, in addition to optoelectronic components. Looking forward, the company will focus on its long-term growth driver - car electronic components.
