Congratulating CPES graduate - Puqi Ning


Puqi Ning
 completed his Ph.D. program in May 2010. His defense presentation, “Design and Development of High Density High Temperature Power Module with Cooling System,” is available online to CPES Principal Plus, Principal and Associate members via password access. His dissertation will be made available when it is finalized.

Puqi received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, in 2004 and 2006, respectively. He joined the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES) in Fall 2006 to continue his Ph.D. studies and focused on high-temperature, high-density power module development.

Puqi’s research interests include high-temperature power module development, high-density converter development and evaluation. He likes to play soccer and tennis in his free time, and enjoys music, movies, reading and cooking.

Puqi will join Oak Ridge National Lab in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, in June 2010.
