CPES Invited Presentation at COBEP 2009: “Future Electronic Power Distribution Systems - a contemplative view"
CPES Co-Director, Prof. Dushan Boroyevich, was invited to give a plenary presentation on “Future Electronic Power Distribution Systems - a contemplative view” at the 10th Brazilian Power Electronics Conference (COBEP), held in Bonito MS, Brazil, September 27 - October 1, 2009.
The main objective of COBEP is to promote a forum to discuss research, development, applications, new tendencies, and latest advances in Power Electronics and Electrical Machine Control. This bi-annual event is organized every odd year by one or more Universities, Research Groups or Institutes from various regions of Brazil, with the participation of the international scientific community.
In addition, as part of the IEEE Power Electronics Society Distinguished Lecturer Program, Prof. Boroyevich was invited to be a guest speaker at 3 universities in Brazil -- UFSC - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, UFPE - Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in Recife, and UFCG - Universidade Federal de Campina Grande in Campina Grande.
