Congratulating CPES graduate - Yan Jiang


Yan Jiang
completed her Ph.D. program in January 2009.  Her dissertation, "Three Dimensional Passive Integrated Electronic Ballast for Low Wattage HID Lamps," is available online to CPES Principal Plus, Principal and Associate members via password access.

Yan Jiang was born in October 1978 in Zhejiang, China. She received her B.S. and M.S. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China in 1999 and 2002, respectively, both in electrical engineering.  She began her Ph.D. study at the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES) at Virginia Tech in August 2002, and completed her work in January 2009.   Yan has joined Linear Technology Corporation in San Jose, CA, as an Applications Engineer.

Yan enjoys reading, watching movies, and gardening.
