Jian Li completed his Ph.D. program in April 2009. His dissertation, "Current-Mode Control: Modeling and its Digital Application," is available online to CPES Principal Plus, Principal and Associate members via password access.
Jian was born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, in 1978. He received his Bachelor degree in Automation and Master degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2001 and 2004, respectively. Since Fall 2004, Jian has been working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Center for Power Electronics Systems (CPES) at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia, and completed his work in May 2009. Jian has joined Linear Technology in Milpitas, CA, as an Application Engineer.
Jian enjoys fishing, soccer, basketball, and traveling.
