CPES welcomes new Principal Member -- HR Textron
CPES welcomes HR Textron, a division of Textron Systems, as our Principal Member. To maximize their IP advantage, HR Textron has also elected to join IPPF -- Intellectual Property Protection Fund. CPES IPPF is an IP access mechanism that facilitates early and easy access to CPES intellectual properties generated under the core research program. IPPF members are invited to participate in the quarterly IPPF telecons to discuss invention disclosures with CPES inventors and jointly decide which technologies they wish to protect, with patenting costs covered by IPPF. Once a technology is protected, IPPF members are granted a royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the technology. With the addition of HR Textron, IPPF now includes 25 members, 22 of which are Principal-Plus members with automatic IPPF membership and 3 are Principal members contributing $5,000 per year to IPPF. Textron Systems, headquartered in Massachusetts, is a multi-divisional corporation, with more than 50 years of aerospace experience providing innovative advanced-technology solutions for global aerospace and defense industries. The company is also dedicated to the research, design, development and production of motion control systems and components for use by defense and other government agencies worldwide.
