CPES welcomes Richtek Technology Corporation as Principal Plus & PMC Member!
Richtek Technology Corporation, a leading provider of power management IC solutions in Taiwan, has joined CPES at the Principal Plus level and will participate in the CPES Power Management Consortium (PMC).
As the newest member of the CPES PMC, Richtek was invited to join the PMC quarterly review on October 23, along with 15 other PMC members, including Analog Devices, Crane Aerospace, Delta Electronics, Hipro Electronics, Infineon Technologies, International Rectifier, Intersil Corporation, Linear Technology, Lite-On Technology, Murata Power Solutions (formerly C&D Technologies), National Semiconductor, NXP Semiconductors, Primarion, Renesas Technology, and Texas Instruments.
In collaboration with CPES, PMC members are working together synergistically on developing pre-competitive technologies in the areas of power management for distributed power system architectures for applications such as microprocessors, laptops, desktops, servers, and telecom equipment. The focus is to address the ongoing challenges of power delivery and power management, while aiming to improve cost effectiveness and achieve higher power density and energy efficiency. Since the inception of the mini-consortium in 1997, CPES inventors have generated 53 invention disclosures and received 18 U.S. patents.
