CPES to Launch Phase I of Web Improvement on Tuesday, October 23

CPES has been working to improve the Center's website. We are happy to announce that we are now ready to launch Phase I, which will enable more convenient and much simplified password access for industry members. The new mechanism will allow industry partner users to set up individual user accounts with self-assigned password to view and access information based on membership level. As the new password mechanism is based on individual employment status with member companies, the system would remove automatically users who are no longer working at the member firm. Not only is the new web environment more user-friendly, it will also help to preserve the integrity of member accessibility. We are planning this changeover on Tuesday, October 23. On and after that date, industry members visiting us at www.cpes.vt.edu may set up new user accounts as follows:

  • -- Click MEMBER ONLY on the top bar
  • -- Click LOG ON TO MY ACCOUNT
  • -- Click SIGN UP FOR ACCESS
  • -- Fill in web form
  • -- Wait for automatic verification email with a temporary password
  • -- Change the temporary password to personal password Users who encounter problems with account setup or see error messages while browsing the website should contact Teresa Shaw (tshaw@vt.edu) or call (540) 231-4527. During a brief period when the changeover is taking place, an error page may appear. In that instance, we'd like to ask that users wait a few minutes and try again. We thank everyone for your patience and support, and welcome your feedback and comments, as we continue with Phase II of our web improvement project.
