Beth Tranter received a B.A. from Central Missouri State University in 1986, an M.A. in French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) in 1988, and completed all Ph.D. course work in French at UW in 1992. Prior to joining CPES in 2000, Ms. Tranter served as Vice-President for Sales and Marketing of Blue Ridge Interactive, Inc., and as Developmental Editor and Language Specialist at Heinle & Heinle Publishers, a division of International Thomson Publishing. Ms. Tranter has ten years of combined teaching experience at UW and at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
Ms. Tranter's academic interests include engineering education and program development in the areas of diversity, research experiences for undergraduates, and educational outreach.
