Dr. Fereshteh Fatehi received the B.S. degree from Shiraz University in 1972, the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees from Montana State University in 1993 and 1995 respectively, all in electrical engineering. She worked as a research associate for one year at Iowa State University.
Dr. Fatehi joined North Carolina State University in 1996, and currently is a professor in the Department of Electronics, Computer and Information Technology at North Carolina A&T State University. Her research interests are in robust control, robust system identification, power system stability and control, power electronics and application of robust control in power systems.
Dr. Fatehi is an active member in IEEE Power Engineering Society, and she participates in the Activities of Society of Women Engineers (SWE). She is a regular reviewer for her professional organizations. She was PI and Co-PI for various projects in the areas of power system stability and control, remote manufacturing control solutions, and power conversion.
Dr. Fatehi has served as advisor, co-advisor, and member of committee for more than 10 M.S. and PhD. students. She is the author and co-author of over 10 articles in journals and IEEE conference proceedings.
